Ehsan Mansouri arrested
Jun 2nd, 2007 by City boy
Ehsan Mansouri, the secretary of the political affairs of the ISA activist body who was banned from entering the Tehran Amir Kabir University last month, was finally arrested by revolutionary guards.
The arrest came after two weeks of harassment through phone calls and beatings of his family members during several visits they had made to his house in order to locate him.
He was reportedly beaten up to the point where on his arrival to notorious Evin prison he had to be taken to the clinic there because of the injuries and broken bones.
The student activist body ISA claims that the revolutionary court has been working very closely with the harasat forces on campus in order to target student activists and set clear examples for any one thinking of joining the student movement at Amir Kabir University.
Hadad Adel the Chief of Security at Tehran Prosecution Service who had kept a close eye on the Amir Kabir crisis commented that Ehsan Mansouri was the “missing link for the case” and “it will all be clear in the next few days”, regarding the case of the student publications that were shut down last month because of an alleged issue which insulted “holy figures” and the Islamic Republic government. Kianoush Sanjari, an ex political prisoner now in exile has expressed fear regarding the mental and physical torture that Ehsan will be going through in Evin during the next coming days in order to make false confessions.

The news is really depressing these days…too much to bear.
I don’t think it’s depressing at all,
