Amir Kabir University students go on hunger strike
May 21st, 2007 by City boy
Today at lunchtime the students at Amir Kabir University in Tehran went on a hunger strike to protest against the arrest of the seven student activists currently held in the notorious Evin prison, and also against the increasing pressure on other active academics using harassments, banning and eviction of the active students from the university campus and dormitories and the recent beatings of active students.
In the inspirational peaceful protest, they put down their food trays on the floor and made a long que in front of the self service canteen.

Unfortunately, I have been so sick these days I cant write much. But I m glad people are covering these stories
peacefull campaigns never get anywhere with a barbaric regime, heavily armed &never had mercy or being bashfull to use it against it’s own people.
must get organized & armed to get rid off this “diseas” called islamic regime.
down with political islam
long live communism
You have not blogged lately, hope all is well!
This kind of despotic regime is not long for the history books. They will never be able to silence all those who oppose them and demonstrate peacefully. These students are very brave and deserve, and need, all of the attention they can get.
