Look what the “Institute for War and Peace Reporting” (IWPR) supporters of democracy and human rights, with the help of Hoder (Hossein Derakhshan) have created!
Most importantly, Mianeh will fully respect and support the identity, national sovereignty and the constitution of the Islamic Republic throughout: our editorial policy is built on the belief that the question of how Iran should develop is strictly a matter for the citizens of Iran. As Ayatollah Khomeini once famously said, Iran is “neither East nor West†and should develop accordingly.
What hypocracy! The project apparently aims to “promote dialogue, debate, and understanding”, that would be all good, however how will they be doing that by supporting the constitution of Islamic Republic of Iran?! IR constitution is one of the only theocratic systems of government in power which is based on the Islamic fundamentalist idea that people can not decide for their own lives, and they should instead turn to Mullahs who will do that for them! Talk about promoting democracy!
As “Iranian woman” points out, by supporting Islamic Republic “they fully support Iranian political activists being executed, they fully support Iranian women being treated as second citizens, they fully support the religious apartheid in Iran.”
Oh and apparently they have an office in London.. I wonder, wasn’t there enough space for them at the Islamic Republic’s embassy?!

I wake up everyday to a new agent of the Islamic republic either writing an op-ed in Washington Post or Iranian.com and now the propaganda Ministry (MOIS) has unleashed this nugget.
God forbid if an Iranian activist against the religious dictatorship in Iran receives a fund from somewhere, the Western press will have a field day, but never mind if an agent of the Islamic Republic gets a grant from somewhere, no one even notices it!!
Serendip, but how can any one expect to be taken seriously to promote Islamic Republic under the banner of democracy? This is a joke!!
Ardeshir: You couldn’t be more right. But not just the western press, also many of our own ignorant Iranians too!
Looks to me like they’re they’re learning from the Bolsheviks, who b the 1970s were introducing Western Reporters to hand-picked “dissidents” living in posh apartments.
Honza is very right. Islamic Republic has learnt so much from the Bolsheviks and North Koreans.
Supplying their own fake ‘dissidents’ is just another lesson well learnt by those who run the Islamic Republic. Just wish the ‘useful idiots’ would one day learn from their past mistakes!
Well said.
