Khavaran

Khavaran - a graveyard where thousands are buried,
in unmarked mass graves.

In the summer of 1988, 7 years after the last mass execution, an unknown number of Iranian political prisoners were martyred by the direct order of the Supreme leader Khomeini.

The estimates are as high as 30,000.

The young girls were raped before execution,
so they would not go to heaven.

A crime against humanity

Not martyrs of Islam

Not martyrs of Imam Hossein

Not martyrs of Khomeini

Martyrs of freedom.

We shall never forget.

Mohamad NavabIslamic Republic apologist Mohammad Navab, currently on board of directors of NIAC (National Iranian-American Council) - well known apologists for the fundamentalist regime, has apparently resigned from CASMII where he was serving as a director!

In fact, he has denied even being a member!!

Do these regime apologists think that their crimes will not be exposed? Do they think that once the revolution succeeds and the Mullahs are out of the governmental palaces, we are simply going to forget that they stood up and defended this criminal regime?!

Pegah Emambakhsh An Iranian lesbian, Pegah Emambakhsh, is to be deported from UK even though it is well known that her life will be in danger if she returns to the theocratic state.

The local MP, Richard Caborn (office: 0114 273 7947), should be ashamed of himself for not supporting her in this clear case of human rights violation.

She is to be returned to Iran on August 23rd where it is very likely that she will be imprisoned immediately and face execution.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards celebrate the anniversary of their establishment, with their beloved child, Hezbollah.

It was only this time last year when the ignorant Stop the War crowd were chanting “We are All Hezbollah!” in the streets of London. Lets hope it will not happen again. Well, unless you are a supporter of mass executions, suicide bombings and depriving millions of Iranians from their oil money, so a few more Jews gets killed, and Middle East becomes more unstable, devastated and of course, fundamentalist.

Today is the anniversary of the 1906 Iranian constitutional revolution. However Iranian people are still struggling for democracy and student activists are still sent to jails.

This year several student activists will spend this year’s anniversary in prisons. They include: Mohammad Hashemi, Ali Nikoonesbati, Ali Vefghi, Bahareh Hedayat, Mehdi Arabshahi, Hanif Yazdani, Abodllah Momeni, Bahram Fayyazi, Habib Hajiheydari, Morteza Eslahchi, Mojtaba Bayat,, Arash Khandel, Ashkan Ghiasvand, Ahmad Ghassaban, Majid Tavakoli, Ehsan Mansouri, and Amir Yaghoub-ali.

In support and memory of our fellow comrades, who some of them are bloggres as well, a group of Iranian bloggres will change their blog title on August the 5th to “August the 5th: The day of support for jailed Iranian students”. We invite you, even as a non-Iranian blogger, to participate in this cause. You can join by sending us e-mail to 14.mordad@gmail.com.

Majid Tavakolli

Today is the 24th day that the student activist hero Majid Tavakolli is on hunger strike.

He was arrested 90 days ago when the ISA activist body at Tehran Amir Kabir University was trying to have elections.

The good news is that the international Confederation of Iranian Students is working really hard, here is a music video from their UK federation.

The bad news is that the fundamentalist regime is hanging everyone..

public hanging

Mahan airline It’s only been a month since the Iranian airline Mahan increased it’s flights from Tehran to Manchester to 5 times a week but today UK suspended it’s flights on safety grounds.

Interestingly the Islamic Republic propaganda outlet Press TV which did not cover the petrol rationing crisis or the 18 tir anniversary events, has covered this news but doesn’t even mention why the airline is suspended and only says Mahan is trying to reopen it’s flights!

Saeed Derakhshan Keyvan Ansari Abolfazl Jahandar

Saeed Derakhshan, Keyvan Ansari and Abolfazl Jahandar have joined the other three student activists Majid Tavakoli, Ahmad Ghassaban and Ehsan Mansouri who have been on hunger strike since last Saturday after two months and a half spent in Evin with no access to a lawyer or court hearing.
